                                    CART COVERS

Foldup - Severe weather cover and Light weather cover.

The severe weather cover (above) is a semi permanent cover.

It's a one piece unit comprised of solid colour vinyl with clear plastic panels.
It sits leval with, or on top of half shelf.
With top half shelf removed - top sides support themselves.
Cover is vertically locked of in several places with hook & loop tabs.

Front;

Above extended shelf are 3 removeable front/top panels. They all have hook & loop and are inter connectable to eachother.

These provide lift up access anywhere, with direct access to equipment (mixer/recorder) in 3 different angles - flat/45degrees/vertical.

There is also a hoodie, which goes over sides and back & extends a bit out the front.
It attaches with hook & loop and is self supporting accross the front.
In its clear guise, it  can become an intergral part of the top cover arrangement which now should be flexible enough to cover whatever your setup is.
In vinyl guise it can be used as a sun cover. Both hoodies are included in the price.

Below the extended shelf is a roll up panel with zips at the side and a large clear window to see what is on the shelves below.

Access flaps;
There is one either side above the extended shelf and one at the rear below the handle.
These flaps are also adjacent to a shelf or bar that a RastOrder double hook can be attached, protruding out the bottom of the flap.
Inside the handle is another small flap.

Boom pole attachments;
We recomend these go on outside the cover, giving a better weather seal. You can however cut an opening around them.
The procedure for gaining bolt access through the cover is as follows.
With the bolts in the screw inserts, the cart upright & the cover aligned properly on the cart. You can feel the head of the bolts through the black velcro patch.
You can cut a slit along the bolt heads or a narrow slot around the bolt heads -  through which you can gain access to the screw inserts, but which will be covered by the accessory.
There are patches to cover the bolt holes when not in use.

Material;
The vinyl we are using is not like the old vinyl that had a material backing.
It is used on most truck sides these days, so is readily available and priced well.
The vinyl we are using is rated at 600 grams per square metre - truck sidings are 900 grams per square metre.
The clear plastic is 0.5mm thick.
The vinyl feels about the same or thinner than the clear - it is certainly more flexible.
There is however an inherrant stiffness in this material, but that lends itself to use as a cart cover.
The vinyl we are using has an operational temperature range of between -30  and +70 degrees celsius.
I put some vinyl (600 & 900) in the freezer overnight and was surprised to find it was still easily folded.
I put some of the clear in the freezer overnight, it went a bit stiff, was hard to bend etc. However the clear will only be used in flat panels. (except for the hoodie)

Colour;
We chose light grey mainly because its a lightish colour that wont heat up too much if its being used on a beach in summer to say keep salt spray out - or in a desert in summer to keep wind blown sand out.
In rain, sleet or snow maybe it doesn't really matter what colour it is.

Attatching cover;
All you do is decide if you want top half shelf on or off - then throw cover over cart with front zips undone. There are a few velcro tabs inside which are best attached by laying cart on its back.
Then do up zips, try on clear flats and experiment with hoodies.

Freighting;
Cover will need a bit of warmth to soften up and regain its shape after the trip, if going into a cold climate.
International Freight is + or -
AUD$80.00 depending on where you are.
Domestic freight is to be determined - email for a quote.
If you purchase a cover with a cart - freight will be free.

There will be information and pictures provided here in the near future.

ap.
