Rack-mount Case Cart (RMC)

This cart is a large
cart:
This cart is designed to carry lightweight rack-mount
cases; such as Euromodules EMS system http://www.euromodule.fi/ or
SKB standard rack cases. http://www.skbcases.com/
The carts consist of two modules stacked one on the
other:
They are bolted together through the side frames by
plastic star knob, bolts & nuts.
The frame construction is
of 25mm (1 inch) square aluminium tube.
This design allows you to
separate the modules for travelling in the back of a station wagon
or four-wheel drive, with the equipment staying on the cart and in a
horizontal position.
The top module is bolted together. The
bottom module is welded together as standard, but can be requested
in bolted form.
The wheels are : Aluminium alloy G-K
wheels with inflated rubber tyres. They are 240mm (9 ½ inches) high
and 130mm (5 inches) wide.
Dimensions:
The overall
height of the cart is 1metre 265mm (4ft 1 ¾inches) for the 6 unit/9
unit case combination and 1metre 132mm (3ft 8 ½ inches) for the 6
unit/6unit case combination.
The main frame external measurements
are 600mm (23 ½ inches) Front to Back and 620mm (24 ½ inches) wide,
The extreme external wheel width, with g-k wheels is no more
than 700mm (27 ½ inches).
Shelving:
There are
three full shelves, at 600mm (23½ inches) F to B.
The bottom one
carrys a 6U high case while the middle one can carry a 6U or 9U high
case depending on the top module ordered.
Secure location of EMS
boxes on the cart shelves is achieved with feet locating holes in
the two main shelves. Nylon tie down straps are recomended between
the handles of the boxes and the cart frame.
The top shelf is
designed for accessories, but it could carry a smaller case, say 2U
or 3U size.
A slide out, side shelf just below the middle
full shelf - 535mm (21 inches) W by 515mm (21½ inches) F to B by
30mm (1 inches) deep, nominally placed at just above knee height
when sitting. Using 457mm (18 inch) sliders, the shelf extends 405mm
(16 inches).
Recommended load capacity 20kg (44lbs). It is
also recommended that large items placed on this shelf such as lunch
box computers, have a safety strap, or cable, attached to the
cart.
At the bottom of the cart at the rear, is a small axle
shelf 350mm (13¾ inches) wide by 300mm (11¾ inches) deep. In front
of this is a storage box, 570mm (22 ½ inches) wide by 300mm (11¾
inches) deep the height of the box is 110mm (4 ¼ inches). Access to
the front of the box is 200mm (7 ¾ inches)
high.
Weight; Nominal at around 28 kilograms (62
pounds).

Each cart is supplied with
two cable or headphone hooks.
